How to get there
As of June 2009, overland access to Stinky Bay is no longer possible. There are guardhouses at all possible access roads, and non-authorized vehicles are blocked from entering (and besides, you would in addition to authorization also need an off-road vehicle capable of driving in loose sands to make it all the way to the bay). Access is still possible by boat.

Beach and Tide Conditions
Kitesurfing conditions do not depend on Tide on this spot.
Stinky Bay, Singapore is a Shallow and Flat spot.
The launching/landing area is reported to be of Small size.
This is about as good as it gets in Singapore, but this location is in a state of flux due to land reclamation and access is not easy (see below). The size of the beach varies by tide, but even at low tide there tends to be large sandbanks suitable for rigging and launching. However, due to the ongoing land reclamation project in this part of Singapore, the look of and access to this area could change at any time. Bring bug spray - the place is crawling with sand-flies and they're starving! Try not to get bitten because it itches a bitch for weeks.
Shallow, mostly flat water with some chop. Despite the name, the water here is quite nice. At the moment, this is a shallow bay protected by two large wave breakers, yielding unusually flat water.
