Spain-Portugal
In Spain, we often talk about 2 main areas for kiting: Tarifa (Los Lances, Las Dunas, Valdevaqueros, Hurricane) in the far south of the country, and Rosas, 30kms from the French border, overlooking the Mediterranean.
Rosas is an ideal destination thanks to its proximity to Barcelona (1h30 to the south) and to the French spots of Leucate and co.
The Tarifa region is one of the most famous and well-known in Europe, due to the strength and statistics of the wind, the diversity of the spots and the kite industry that has developed there. Many pro kiters are also domiciled there.
Portugal is a great destination for a kite trip in the waves. Indeed, there are among the best spots in Europe, especially around Peniche, an hour's drive north of Lisbon.
It is also possible to find great areas of flat, especially in the area of the Lagoon of Obidos.
Once there, your best bet is to select the spots depending on the conditions. You will always find a place to ride.
