"The spot, is one of the two best choices for Dakhla. People are nice!! Guest that go here are nice and friendly. No rude people on site. This place is like you went out kiting with down to earth good people. Most of the people where already second or third time there and that should in itself tell you, once you go there you will keep going there. Rooms are clean Food was good. A bed and bathroom. If you are kiting 3-4 times a day all you need is a bed."

"Don't usually leave reviews. Or complain, but ... Perhaps the worse run operation I've seen in 30 years of travel Signed up for dakhla downwind challenge. So disorganized. Didn't start till 430pm on day 1 as owner was too busy making a party for local politicians. Day 2 we got to the spot and ready to start kiting at 2 ish. Spent the morning just standing around watching (nice) staff with no leadership like headless chickens. Then bailed on it. Spent the next 4 nights at the kite camp. Good plan. Highlights from the kite camp... No water for long stretches. Party till 6AM on the last night with music you could hear 1km away. The poor kitchen staff didn't sleep. Tie my own kitebags to the car roof else they would come off (teach these guys some knots?). Kite school has no equipment, we lent the manager a kite so he could come with us to the white dune. The people working there were really nice and did tell us a few times to stay at better business next time. Owner needs to wake up and run it better. Kiting in the lagoon is A class."

"Worst place I have ever stayed in! Book somewhere else! The kite surf school is pathetic but the instructors were really nice! The equipment is very old, low quality and there is not enough of anything for more than three people. They only have one big kite, no big twin tips, no long wet suits, not enough harness’ and leashes… After the first days we walked to the next kite school PK25 and rented equipment and got lessons there. The food was most of the times served cold even though during the time we were staying there there were no more than 15 people at the time. There was no variety at all and it was low quality. Every second day we got pasta with tomato sauce. In the two weeks we were staying there 5 of 20 people got pretty sick (probably food poisoning). All the other places around have a buffet but at Dakhla Spirit they serve three mostly tiny courses. The showers in the bungalows are cold and just a tiny rinse of water. The electricity goes off several times a day and so does the WiFi because everything runs on a generator. There is no wifi at all in the bungalows. During the power cuts I needed to use my mobile phone flashlight for showering and using the toilet. The pool bar was completely closed in the two weeks we were staying there. In the restaurant they charge almost 7€ for a beer. Outside the property they keep a dog on a really short chain in the sun all day which is just cruel. I hope they are going to close this place inshallah"

"We stayed twice but unlikely to return as the owner has built a small nightclub for domestic tourists below the premises which led to some sleepless nights and some security issues. The food quality had improved since last year's trip but drink prices are obscene. Eg a very small bottle of Casablanca beer 7eur versus 4 eur for a larger bottle at nearby kite schools.. Kite lessons overpriced so would recommend Pk25 or UCPA Dreamkite instead for that"

"I recently spent two weeks here and unfortunately, my experience was terrible due to a few key issues. One major problem was the food. While the menu was not the same every day, there were limited options and the staff would serve the food without asking or knowing about dietary restrictions or preferences. As a vegetarian, I often had to settle for cold and unappetizing pasta. In addition to the above, it is important to note that my stay at the Dakhla Spirit hotel was marred by a serious case of food poisoning. Unfortunately, four other guests also fell ill from the hotel's food. This is unacceptable and speaks to the lack of care and attention given to food safety and hygiene standards. Another issue was the frequent power outages, which left me without access to plugs, Wi-Fi, and even light in the bathroom. This made it difficult to stay connected and comfortable during my stay. It was frustrating to have to constantly deal with these outages. Lastly, I was disappointed with the hotel's kiteschool. The staff was understaffed and unorganized, with the manager serving as the kitesurfing instructor, beach boy, and rescue boat operator. This caused several issues and made for a chaotic experience. The kitesurfing equipment provided by the hotel is old and unsafe, and many guests prefer to rent from other hotels. This is not only inconvenient, but it also raises safety concerns. Despite the hotel's beautiful location, the issues with the food, power outages, and kiteschool made for a less-than-ideal stay. It is evident that the hotel's management prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction, as evidenced by the poor quality of food and inadequate staffing of the kiteschool. I was also disappointed with the lack of communication from the management regarding the food poisoning incident. This lack of transparency is concerning. Overall, my experience at Dakhla Spirit was disappointing, and I would caution others against choosing this hotel for their stay in Dakhla. I hope that the management takes steps to address the issues I've outlined, so that future guests can have a better experience"
