How to get there
Ashworths Beach is just past Woodend and Waikuku about 45 minutes north of Christchurch. Just drive north on the main road that leads to Kaikoura and turn right when you see the sign that welcomes you to the Hurunui District (sign is on your left). Follow the unsealed road until you get to the beach. After 5min you will get to a 'parking area' and the start of a sand track. Do not drive past the parking as your car will get stuck. A 2 min walk from the 'car park' over dunes onto beach.
