Summer March to October: air 25-30°C, water 20°C. Winter November to February: air 15-20°C, water 15°C.
Recommended wind for kitesurfing is wind coming from NE, E and SE .
Summer is not good, April to September, wrong direction. Winter is good, October to March, NE-E-SE are all good directions. Can get 15-20 knots for a few days in a row. The apartments create a huge compression zone and make the kites become unstable in the gusty conditions. The beach curves, but mainly sideshore are NNW and SSE.
The best moments to come to Lantau Island / Cheung Chau, Hong Kong are January, February, March, October, November and December .

Very narrow beach, approx. 5m wide and 300m long, with 4 story apartments on the edge of the beach. Grainy sand. Concrete walkway 5m from the water, followed by barbed wire and television aerials all the way down the beach. Almost one of the worst places to launch in HK, but worth it once you are out and clear of the buildings.
Deep, reasonably clean for HK standards, choppy beach break.

We don’t know if a parking is available at Lantau Island / Cheung Chau, Hong Kong.
The spot has Showers and Toilets facilities.
There is Food available on the spot
Don't ride in the gazetted zone. Limited room, don't ride there unless you are experienced. Wicked little spot to hang out and eat. Make sure you go and have a beer at the windsurf club overlooking the point, good friendly people.
