How to get there
Find Kalmar on a map, it's located in the south eastern part of Sweden, near the island of Oeland. From Kalmar you drive over the bridge to Oeland, here u take the road north towards Byxelkrok, Borgholm. You drive on this road, past Borgholm, Lottorp. About 8km after Lottorp you will arrive at Boeda. Drive thru the town until you see a sign Boeda Camping, turn right in on this road and follow it down to the beach. You can park about 50m from the beach behind the dunes. Now get out your gear and ride.

Season is June to August if you want to use a shorty/trunks. With wetsuit you can go all year around. The water doesn't freeze, but it will get really cold in the winter: -10°C. More reasonable would be mid April to mid November. If your using a thick wetsuit, boots, gloves etc.
Recommended wind for kitesurfing is wind coming from NE, ENE, E, ESE and SE .
There is Thermal and Frontal wind at Oeland / Boeda, Sweden.
In summer generally very light winds, but can get a good seabreeze in the afternoon. Autumn would be considered the windy season here with quite strong winds. We have no consistent winds here, so there are no really dominant wind patterns. Luckily it is an island, so it is possible to kite in all wind directions. Best is however NE, E, SE when we get waves at a beautiful spot further in the north.
